Regular Shoplifter Remanded in Custody

I just wanted to highlight some positive work taken by your Neighbourhood Officers in relation to a regular shoplifter being charged and remanded to court. 

We continue to work hard to support and protect all the businesses in Baldock, this includes bringing those responsible for offences being dealt with robustly. Please be vigilant when out and about, reporting anything suspicious to staff or directly to Police. 

🚨 Repeat shoplifter remanded following attempted theft in Baldock 🚨

A repeat shoplifter has been remanded in custody after attempting to steal over £450 worth of goods and a television from Tesco Extra in Baldock in June 2025.

Chelsea Cramp, age 34, of Winbush Road in Hitchin, was arrested by Team 1 Neighbourhood Policing Team on Wednesday (July 30) and charged.

She is due to be sentenced at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on 10 September 2025.
